2022 OAFFC Nomination Ballot

I’ve been a member of the Online Association of Female Film Critics since its inception in 2017 and so have voted in the group’s annual awards every year since then, but for some reason I’ve never posted the ballot of nominees I come up with for each category every year. I’m not sure why; I spend hours agonizing over it and thinking it through every time. So this year I thought it would be fun to share the nomination list I sent in, along with a few extra picks I was mulling over, especially as I feel like quite a few things I nominated didn’t turn up on the final ballot (although our group’s winners and nominees are as solid as ever, and you can check them out here). I certainly haven’t seen all of this year’s new releases (still waiting with feverish impatience on “Babylon”), but I feel like I’ve seen enough variety this year to feel pretty confident and satisfied with my picks. You can also see this as an early preview of my best of 2022 list, which will be out next week. Click the links to read more about each film and my full review where applicable.
